Re: FR2000 car, is this eligible?

Dear Trev
Yes the car as shown driven by Iain Pearson would be eligible as he raced it in the BARC series. Their regs require the older style (up to 2004) chassis / bodywork and there are restrictions on engine induction and also a single set of gears ratios.

Re: Ian Addlesee RIP

Having been off line for a couple of days I have only just found out about Ian's death. I knew Ian for the whole of his Monoposto career and he absolutely typified all that Monoposto stood for. A real enthusiast, having fun in his car and enjoying the fellowship and company of like minded individual...

Re: ASI Startline Article

Some members and former members were the lucky recipients of just such artistic artifacts. When, a few years ago the Cahmpionship was sponsored by Primrose Engineering each class champion was presented with a life size steering wheel trophy machined from solid billet. A visit to their works was fasc...

Ah! OK! should be no problem then. It will certainly sound nice out there on the 2000 grid and I like the colour.

Re: We finally finished the car

Just a couple of problems I think. Dimensions -John Atkinson wont like that rear wing - too high-; the ride height needs adjusting - too low; I assume from the noise that you are running in Mono 1400 and carbon tubs aren't allowed unless 4 years old or more! Still, its a nice paint job and the steer...

You have to see it in the same way as....'why would you be be a committee / Board member when you could just go racing?'

Merry Christmas

Re: Calander!

100 plus competitors? 100 plus ideal calendars and three members of the Board! :? These three people try to second guess the best compromise that will encourage as many competitors as possible to race with us. Which circuits? Which dates? How much will entrants pay per round? How many rounds will th...

Re: Membership renewals

The renewals will go out before Christmas. At present we are waiting confirmations on the calendar so that all information can be sent to members in one hit. Membership will be returned to the new Administrator. Details will be revealed shortly.

Re: AGM and Awards

Mary was on to this today. The Hotel chain is up for sale. Tewkesbury Park is still trading. We plan to run with it for the time being. It is likely that it will be OK. I would advise anyone booking a room to use a credit card in order to have protection. Mary has arranged a back up event for the Su...

Re: Mono regs

This was discussed briefly at the Board meeting. Classes do usually advance by one year. It is not yet confimed but likely that Mono Classic will advance to model year 2000 for non carbon cars but will stay at pre 1993 for F3/carbon chassis cars.

Following the announcement that the MRC Board had approved the proposed changes to the Mono 2000 technical regulations from 2010 as set out in the paper publicised by the working group, the Board sought views on whether to bring forward certain changes to 2009. This involved seeking opinion from sta...
