Re: Found at Croft

Bill Jansen almost got a red flag before he got in his car. He arrived on the Friday and got the car off the trailer etc before starting to erect his tent on the piece of grass behind him. I'm not sure he believed me initially when I told him he was putting it up in the middle of a runway. A good jo...

Snetterton. Dining on Saturday

There appears to be several people who would like to have a meal on the Saturday night at Snetterton. Several of us dined at the Angel earlier this year. The food was very good. The Angel is just off the A11. Next junction to Snetterton. Approx. two miles from the circuit. I rang the Angel this morn...

Re: Mallory Park

What a splendid chap that Tony Cotton is. For an accountant.
I'm not so sure about that Dermot.
Has anybody got his address ?.

Mallory Park

Tony Cotton's report on last weekends races at mallory Park contained the sentence, "the homme du jour of the 1600 class" in reference to myself and my battle with Simon Davey. That sounds good. I'll repeat it. My battle with Simon Davey. Yes I know he was in a standard 92 Swift without th...

Re: Mallory non championship race!

I'm going and Simon Davey has entered.
I think Michael Dale was entering in the 1800 class.
Perhaps Simon could obtain a list of whose entered so far.
The closing date was the 17th of June with the normal £25 for late entries.

Re: Mallory Park bar!

It is on the bars website that it is ceased trading due to the smoking ban !!!!!!!!!!! Something else that can be blamed on the present government. If the Avit men are not given regular doses of alcoholic medicine then there will be no help for any competitors with mechanical problems. This will res...

Re: A Special Mention

In the true spirit of devolution I propose that Welshmen are only allowed to enter for the Anglesey and Pembrey events. Oh. No Pembrey this year. Tough. Or we could get Simon to make him tenth reserve as it seems to be a good grid. Failing all that we could clutch him round the neck. Hard. See you a...

Re: Possible Non Championship Race Mallory 5 July

Come on boys.
We have a meeting on June 6th and then nothing for nine weeks until August 1st.
This meeting is right in the middle of that gap.
It's cheaper than testing and it's reasonably central for all drivers.

We might not be as quick as some of the previous competitors but there's no need to call us ugly. Although to be honest you're possibly right.

Re: Formula Vee to run in Mono 1600

The Formula Vee in question at Snetterton is the daughter of a current Monoposto member whose name I unfortunately cannot remember. He spoke to me about his daughter entering the 1600 class. I advised that I was not aware of any reason why the FVs should not be admitted but that he should ideally e-...

Re: 2009 Thanks!

I agree with all that's been said. Simon did a fabulous job and Sara carried on as normal handing times and results out and saving us the trouble of going to get them. But what great weather and tremendous racing. Roll on Anglesey so we can do it all again. Congragulations to Tony Cotton who grabbed...
