Re: Breakdown Recovery Question

You will need to question your recovery company. They have all tightened up substantially in the past years. When you complete your application for rescue cover you generally have to advise that it is also to cover a trailer. Some companies will get your trailer home providing that it's your car tha...

Re: GRID SIZES

I agree with Jeff on the name business.
I can't understand all the dopey names.
It would also make the forum a little more proffessional for any visitors looking in.

Re: Need any work done on your car

I made up several replies to Pig Pen's post.
But I couldn't decide which to put in.
Strangely they all contained the phase from PPs message. @!#?!"A.

Hope to see you again this year my man.
But not as close as last year.

Need any work done on your car

After my crash at Snetterton at the last meeting of the year in 2008, I wasted several months debating whether to scrap the car and buy another or to rebuild the one I had. I decided on the latter but snag followed obstacle and I was getting concerned that I wouldn't get finished in time for the fir...

Re: Ian Addlesee RIP

Very sad news.
Ian was a gentleman.
If I remember correctly Ian sold his red Van Diemen to someone who never used it and it was bought off E-bay by Jonathan Baggott who raced it several times. I believe Ian had volunteered his services to set the car up correctly.

Condolences to Ian's family.

Re: Website additons

Forget driver profiles. Forget driver experience. Forget driver hometowns, favourite circuits, corners and colours etc. I think it would be benificial to simply have a list of competing members for 2009. A simple spreadsheet giving the class, the race number. the driver name, the chassis type and th...

Re: Website additons

Stephen Although it has to be confirmed most of the info is there already. I know i'm in Mono 1600 and since I swapped numbers with you am 16. My car is a Reynard. You're now 66 in a Speeds etc. If that's what you're doing this year. But Simon gets the data when people rejoin the club. It's a simple...

Re: Website additons

I've just read Tristans suggestions and Stephen's reply. Whilst I don't want my details, so to speak, spread all over the internet, I had a look at the F3 site following the Tristan link. The 2009 driver table in there has only one entry at the moment with the driver to be confirmed but my first rea...

Re: Monoposto newbie, help required

Trev There are many cars you can buy that can race in Mono as we have two grids with six classes. For value for money I would go for either a 1600 Formula Ford or an 1800. None are to complicated. I run in the 1600 class with a 1983 Reynard. You can easily get spares, particularly for Reynard and Va...

Christmas

It's almost Christmas. I trust everyone has given their lists to Santa though i'm not sure how good his elves are at putting together a Dallara. I trust that in this season of goodwill you will all be attentive to your better halves and refrain from sneaking into the garage for a couple of hours. At...

Ian was down as the driver on Sunday but he was the mechanic on Saturday. As the car broke down on Saturday it was his fault and he forfeited the drive.
Only fair. These two litre refugees think they can do as they like.

Samier wrote "Can we nominate you to redesign the mono home page?" in reply to a thread from Andrew Cliffe. The short answer is No. Stephen Brooks is a Director of the Monoposto Club with one of his responsibilities being the upkeep of the web site. Stephen earns his living in IT and is i'm sure up ...
