Bahrain

I won't be watching...
A country run by barbarians who lock up doctors for treating protestors.
I hope Kimi wins though and cracks open a beer. It's time someone in our sport stands up to these people who think it is still the Middle Ages.

Re: Donington Timetable Mono 2000 !!!

Somebody has to be last, it seems to equal out as the season goes on. I don't think we are any different to the other series. The boring bit is watching the GT Cup mob. Last year there were half a dozen cars ging round on an occasional basis and it would have been more interesting watching re runs o...

Re: Blue Book Rule change

I guess so but it was in red so I wondered if it was new.
None of this matters too much atthe moment because my car is playing up with ECU trouble-some sensor I suspect..... Bl**dy electronics.

Blue Book Rule change

On page 158. section 1.6.3
Could someone tell me if I need a new brace on the roll bar? My car is a bog standard Formula Ireland Chassis but the roll bar doesn't have a brace as described. The rule is in red so must be new.
I am interested in your thoughts gentlemen. :?

Re: Medicals

You don't really think we take any notice of what drivers have on their overalls do you? Squaddies like to have their blood groups tattooed on their arms but they usually have it done while pissed so very unreliable. You might as well hage your granny's phone number for the notice we take....

I wasn't around either! Racing medics are good value. Are they the guys near Gatwick?

Re: Medicals

I've got news for some of you. GPs have been self employed since 1948. Only hospital doctors are employees of the NNHS.

Re: Steven Griffin....moonlighting??????

I'm in LA at the moment. I have just spent the day doing the Pacific Highway on a rented Harley. As a result of the open face helmet I now look like an elderly panda and my hands are numb from the vibration of the Newcomen-Watt engine that Harley use to power their motorised bicycles. It's been a fu...

Re: Medicals

Unfortunately I'm on holiday for the dinner dance or I would have done medicals on everyone for free(after a few drinks all pass- quite remarkable). The offer stands though, if anyone is unable to get a cooperative GP and doesn't mind making the long and hazardous journey along the M62 I'm happy to ...

Re: Medicals

Where do you live? I'll do it for free if you want to get to me. I used to do lots of stress ECGs for other drivers but I ran out of favours with my local private hospital (I obviously aren't taking them enough business) but I can do the standard medical. I have to say £90 seems good value to me. A ...

New HGV rules

Attention you truckers. There is lots of rubbish around about us having to do 40 hours of mandatory driver CPC training for our 7.5 tonne trucks. From what I can see we are exempt from most or all of it of it. Interestingly in the following extract it says that those using trucks for personal use ar...

Re: Mono 1800 weights for next season

Some of us are heavy and slim. Weight is sometimes added in other sports, National Hunt horse racing (I think so anyway-I don't know that much about horse racing). Weight is added in Formula 1 as all cars are built below the minimum weight limit and are ballasted up to meet it. The advantages are th...

Re: Mono 1800 weights for next season

May I recommend the Griffin diet? As much food, wine (and occasional cigars) as you can stuff into yourself coupled with lots of running and generally worrying about things.
