Re: Donington Experience and the BRSCC

Sorry, I'm not an expert on the 16v engine but if it didn't run in the road car from which it's taken with the throttle bodies used on the 16v race car then I don't think it's eligible for the 2 litre class. If it did, then it should be. (usual disclaimers, I'm not a tech rep) Ironically, I think m...

Re: Donington Experience and the BRSCC

The engine as fitted to the Juniors is an X16XE engine ( a popular engine in corsas and tigras, possibly astras too. It uses jenvey throttle bodies thats how they ran in the championship from 1998-1999. Why should minimum weight be an issue? They are already at a disadvantage racing with the 2.0 win...

Re: Donington Experience and the BRSCC

For Silverstone, what is the chance of me entering the car for both 2000 class and the usual 1600/1800/1000 etc? Atleast that way I can get more track time....

Re: Seems cicumstances are against me, yet again!

I agree with Broadside, just book it, you wont be in as bad shape as I was at Mallory Park lol.. once you enter there is no going back! Just do it and if you get stuck there will be plenty of people to help you.

Re: Donington Experience and the BRSCC

I had payed by card and that was as far as I was concerned went through all fine. It wasnt untill signing on I was told I owe them the fee for entry. The card is fine so I have no doubts that payment didnt go through. They had 2 weeks to get back to me and let me know I need to pay them rather than ...

Donington Experience and the BRSCC

On paper a race at Donington should have been one of the best of the season, but the total opposite had happend I probably am not the only one left dissapointed and frustrated by the behavior by the BRSCC and how they handled the situaion yesterday. My problems go further, when signing on to find ou...

Re: Car setup - can anyone help?

yep, I will see how the car feels after setup has been done... I still want to do a good few races before I try wider tyres and wings, but it is something I am considering in the not to distant future.

Shame this years calender is somewhat limited and no Spa! :(

Re: Car setup - can anyone help?

Well thats the thing with the FVJ I found you do need to slide them around to get some decent times from them.. sliding them around Gerrards at around 90 does take some time getting used to.. I have been thinking of putting wider tyres on the car front and rear and see how it feels.. maybe some wing...

Re: Car setup - can anyone help?

Tristan, you have a PM. Will dropping the ride from 50+ to about 42mm make a noticable difference on the level of mechanical grip? I know I still have a good few seconds I need to find in myself, but I can help but think that as the car is setup for hill climbing its some what not totally suited for...

Car setup - can anyone help?

After Mallory Park, I have realised that I need to get the setup of my car sorted out Asap. The car is running at over 50mm and could do with getting it setup, ie ride height, corner weight, camber etc. Is there anyone who has the equipment here who could do this for me at Donington? I would be happ...

Re: Mallory Park bar!

Even if its only club racing, does not mean we have to put up with crap paddock facilities. They should really pull their fingers out of their ass and do something. They must make a lot out of trackdays, testing corporate driving events.. so it is no excuse! Last year my car bottomed out coming out ...

Re: Mallory Park bar!

Why do we bother with Mallory? from what I remember the facilities are just disasterous!! Not looking forward to the crumbled up paddock!!
