Re: Formula Vee to run in Mono 1600

The only problem I have encountered with formula Vee has been the drivers. On numerous occassions, testing sessions have been stopped because of comedy V drivers crashing into each other whilst racing. Their races seemed to be rather more accident packed as well. One can only assume that with their...

Re: Formula Vee to run in Mono 1600

A point to remember about these formula vee cars. They do have a solid beam running across the front of the car, so if one was involved in a smash, that solid beam would prove a bit on the dangerous side I think. There were some discussions about this on ten-tenths a while back. http://www.makotrac....

Re: 2009 Thanks!

It certainly was an enjoyable weekend!! I experienced all sorts of dramas.. initially by failing the nose test, which Dermot came to the rescue with his bag of old granny hairs to stuff as baffle for the exhaust!! But I want to thank the likes of SPB, Rupert, Mr Bragg and Ewan for their help a...

Re: GRID SIZES

Because bike engined cars are lighter. As they race in their own class they can have different weights. Remember - they are not directly competing against the 1600/1800/2000 classes even if they share grids. Yes I know I am not competeing directly against them! The learned opinion of some is that a ...

Re: GRID SIZES

Why are the bike engined cars allowed to run at a silly weight of sub 400 kgs? The JKS cars weight in at 320 kgs looking at the spec on their website. Even with a 80kg driver thats 400. Most other cars are over 500 kgs in weight, 1600's, 1800's 2000's! All this about carbon car hitting them is rubbi...

Re: £25 Late Entry/cancellation Fee!

To clarify, I made a point about the £25 fee, yes I stand by what my view are on that. Tristan, you do not know my circumstances, so there for your comment about no sympathy was not called for, and I do not wish to make the reason known! I do not have a problem with fathers assisting, but your comme...

Re: £25 Late Entry/cancellation Fee!

I disagree with many of your points, 3 weeks is simply too long, but if they need 3 weeks they should streamline their process or get someone in who can do a better job.

Maybe I should start to live at home, ask daddy to pay for my racing, that way I would have no problems eh Tristan?

£25 Late Entry/cancellation Fee!

I wish to express my displeasure about the the £25 fee for late race entries. I appreciate that those in admin would like to get all entries in on time, but the cut off date is some 3 weeks before the actual race. I find it totally unacceptable to be hit with a fee if you are late in getting your en...

Re: Need any work done on your car

Yep collected my panels, they were a bit of a mess with the gel coat cracking and some holes. I didnt want a fancy job, as there is no point spending a fortune on old panels, so off they went to Avit who did a good job getting them repaired and sprayed up. As I generally like to do things myself, I ...
