As some of you know, earlier this year I swapped my Jamun FF1600 for a Van Diemen FF1800. Could any one help me out with a gear ratio chart/list for UK circuits? I have a 13/36 CWP.

In case anybody is wondering I placed a similar post earlier this year asking for the same info for a 10/31. At that stage I did think the CWP was 10/31 given the ratios with which the car was supplied. However a wasted morning at Mallory not being able to get out of 3rd gear has confirmed, indeed, I have a 13/36. It would appear the previous owner was either getting rid of some useless high ratio's or they were trying to break the land speed record for an FF1800!! The former, I think, the more likely!

I may have not understood what you are after but if you have the gears that you would have used were the cwp 10/31 then surely all you have to do is multiply the gear you know by 31/10 and 13/36. So an 18/24 with a 10/31 which is .7500 would need a .5964 with a 13/36 which is a 19/32.

You can download gear tables, rev drop tables etc. off the Hewland site.

Also on the Tony Wilson site are some recommended ratios for most circuits for a range of cars. Although it may not have your car once from your own hard data you have one circuit for yours you can proportion all the others from his data.

Nick.

Welcome to FFZetec!!

I can supply you with a list of ratios

Myself and Mark Edwards have a list of Zetec Drivers would like to add you

We are creating some leaflets have a Facebook group and will have a website soon.

The idea is to promote FFZetec (FF1800) be it in Mono1800, F4 or SEMSEC and especially the Formula Ford Festival and to help novices.

NB. We could have told you no FFZetec was original fitted with a 10/31 diff!
